A Four-Day Digital Storytelling Project by TwoCan Theatre Company

Amplify is an empowering four-day creative project for young disabled people aged 10–30, designed to celebrate identity, voice and self-expression through theatre and digital storytelling.

Using inclusive drama techniques, movement, music, visual art, and supported scripting, participants will create short, accessible social media reels that share who they are, what matters to them, and what they want the world to hear.

From playful ensemble-building to filmed personal statements, Amplify supports young people to:

  • Build confidence and self-advocacy
  • Develop creative and digital skills
  • Strengthen communication in their preferred form (spoken, signed, AAC, visual, movement-based)
  • Challenge stereotypes around disability
  • See themselves represented positively and authentically

Each participant will create material that can be edited into a 30–60-second reel, complete with captions and an accessible design. The project will culminate in a celebratory screening and, if appropriate at a later time, an online campaign to share their voices with the wider community.

Amplify is about visibility, pride, and taking up space.
