FREE Signed Song Workshop

Saturday 28th October 2017 10.30am – 4.30pm

Twocan is thrilled to welcome the talented, amazing Caroline Parker to host a signed song workshop

Caroline Parker, MBE, has been performing on stage, screen and cabaret for the last three decades. She has worked extensively with Graeae, Birds of Paradise, Deafinitely at The Globe, Bush Theatre, was a regular on BBC’s Switch and many TV roles including Doctors and Murphy’s Law. Caroline signed the song “I Am What I Am” in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony London 2012 alongside Beverly Knight.

Using her dance and mime training Caroline gives her signed songs a unique touch and she will share these skills at the sign song workshop. Exploring physical expression to enhance signing in performance. Caroline makes songs accessible to deaf people and sign language accessible to hearing people.

This workshop is open to BSL users aged 16 years and up.

For registered Deaf and Disabled people there are bursaries available for travel expenses.

Please note that Caroline will NOT be teaching BSL at this workshop.
