International Day of People with Disability

December 3rd is the 10th International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). It is a collaborative effort between schools, workplaces, businesses community groups and individuals to help break down disability barriers and celebrate abilities.

To help support this years International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) TwoCan is hosting an exhibition at the University of Gloucestershire, Oxstalls Campus, Oxstalls Lane, Gloucester from 2pm-7pm. It is an exhibition that will showcase pictures, photographs and videos (up to 1 minute per entry) created by anyone who has a disability. We are looking for art that celebrates who the artist is. This can be portrait images, images with other people, images indoor, outdoors, with animals, at a special occasion, the choice is endless. The company does not mind what art form is chosen as long it is a celebration of the individual disabled artist. If you know of anyone who is disabled and would like to submit some art that shows them being happy, please get in touch.

Entries can be sent to the company at TwoCan Theatre, Woodside, Painswick Road, Gloucester GL3 4RU or emailed to louise@twocantheatre.org.uk The closing dates for entry is Thursday 1st December 2016.
