Biography

Nicola is best known for her role as Miranda in the Paralympics Opening Ceremony 2012. A once in a lifetime experience flying through the Olympic Stadium in front of a worldwide audience of half a billion. Her biggest gig…yet!Nicola has also performed in many shows with companies such as Graeae, Kazzum, New Wolsey, Slung Low, Immediate Theatre, Face Front, Taking Flight, Natural Diversions and Forest Forge. She has also worked extensively in BBC Radio Drama.As assistant director Nicola has worked with Graeae, Dundee Rep, Kazzum and GDance.

In 2014 she devised and directed Kazzum’s family show Nana’s Jumble which opened at The Mercury in Colchester. For TwoCan she runs the youth theatre and directed their devised show A Chilly Mystery. In May 2016 she directed an adaptation of David McKee’s Two Can Toucan which toured Gloucesteshire libraries playing to family audiences. Nicola is a proud disabled woman and wants to provide a positive representation of disability across all art forms. In 2015 she advised Jacqueline Wilson on her book Katy. The book is dedicated to Nicola. With TwoCan Nicola has the passion to provide Gloucestershire with its first professional disabled led theatre company.
